ABOUT MARGARITA TIMAKOVA

Hi, I am Margarita. I am a portrait, family, & street photographer in Ames, Iowa. I graduated from Iowa State University in November of 2020 with an Art & Design major.

I grew up in Togliatti, Russia and was inspired to become a photographer after I got a chance to shoot at the Summer Kids Fashion Show in Belarus. I was introduced to photography by my aunt who is a professional photographer throughout Eastern Europe. I had gained a unique experience that showed me a new way of expressing myself and how I see other people. I enjoy working with people of different ages and am passionate to show everyone's individuality.
